MWRA Workshops

MWRA's workshops are offered to members free of charge and to non-members at a minimal fee. They are a great opportunity to get continuing education (and thus fulfill the requirements of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources for your continuing education credits), and also offer a chance to network with other Maryland rehabilitators, find a master rehabilitator to apprentice with, and otherwise share experiences and find advice with problems. We urge you to participate in these workshops, whether you are an experienced wildlife rehabilitator or are looking to become a wildlife rehabilitator.

MWRA is co-sponsoring a great one-day workshop on bat rehabilitation presented by Leslie Sturges of The Save Lucy the Bat Campaign. It will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Oregon Ridge Nature Center in Cockeysville, MD. The workshop will start promptly at 9:30 a.m.; there will be a lunch break at noon (please bring a brown bag lunch!), will resume at 1:00 p.m. and adjourn at 3:30 p.m. Topics will include natural history, identification of species, intake and diagnostics; and neonates. The workshop costs only $25.00. Please register as space is limited! We hope you can attend. You can register directly with SaveLucytheBat.org here,
or by calling 703-973-3157.

Also, below you will find links to other organizations offering workshops that are approved by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources for the CE credits required for Maryland wildlife rehabilitators.  Please check out these websites if you are not able to attend MWRA's workshops and need additional CE credits for your permit.
